Tried to make the title as descriptive as possible. Got a call just now from dad's wife in Sun City Georgetown. They have been sick for days and both are Covid+. She has had a z-pac and is on the mend, but dad can't move, and the ****ing EMS will NOT take him to ANY hospital because "his vitals are too stable".

ANY help here would be greatly appreciated.

Basically yeah. He's a big dude and a stroke survivor. Waiting on a few callbacks from Georgetown area home health care providers.

I'd be on the way now, but my wife and I have only just got the first vax and are in San Antonio anyway.

If his vitals are stable, what do you think is gonna happen at the hospital? I'm not trying to be offensive here but he doesn't sound like he needs to be in the hospital if EMS won't take him.

Not offended, just worried and a bit blindsided. We just got the call within the last couple hours that they were in this fix. I'd honestly settle for 2 or 3 big dudes to help move/clean/feed dad so his wife could get a good night sleep and really address this with their health care provider, etc. in the morning.

This couldn't have happened at a worse time. Without going into too much detail, there's a ton going on this week that makes the timing even more desperate. Got a response on a couple calls that might provide some relief tonight, but I wanted to reach out to as many outlets as I could on short notice. My wife has had a few helpful responses on Facebook, but I don't do that - this kinda is the closest thing for me.

The hospitals are full. Just go and help as much as you can. Prayers
