Hey y'all!

Does anyone know where to find information on how much land is needed or other restrictions there are to have horses? This is for Williamson County.

Pretty sure your deed restrictions would dictate those requirements if there were any. To my limited knowledge, the county doesn't have a requirement.

Don't know about restrictions, but for grazing? About 150 acres per horse.

In the desert? Depends on your soil and grass/foliage and how much rain you get, and if you buy hay, alfalfa, grain, etc. my neighbors have 9 horses and a couple dozen cows on 110 acres.

You'll need to check City ordinances and deed restrictions. I've seen horses on smaller places but they have to buy hay.

Ok, I was exaggerating a little, but horses eat about 5 times as much grass as a cow.
