Buddy of mine is getting hitched this summer so we want to show him a good time in Austin. We have an Air BnB by the Erwin Center.

Any recommendations on local bars that would be a good spot for getting some music and drinks?

We are getting a brewery tour with twisted tours on Saturday.

I've heard Moonshine Comfort and Cocktails is a good spot!

Find the man who is a Trans that makes and sells his/her own Chili in a food truck...

Hit up Foxys Proper Pub. New Irish bar downtown. Went there yesterday for St. Patrick's Day. Fun place.

Small Victory. Small speak easy downtown with good drinks. The bar at the Intercontinental downtown has a nice view of the Capitol.

Rainey St is a good time. Bangers is a fun place to grab a bite to eat with a big beer selection. Tons of bars there.

Which breweries you going to?

Austin Food tours will drive you mid-day to lots of cool places (assuming they are back up and running by then).
Every place we ate had an alcoholic beverage. They drive you and because they work with all of the food trucks/trailers/restaurants you don't have to wait in line. The tour I took ended on Rainey street. Cannot vouch for all of these places having survived the events of the past year, but here was our Jan 2020 itinerary:

Brisket Kolaches.
Brisket.
Ribs (all at a food truck called Kerlins)
Via 313 pizza (3 different kinds - including lobster ((this month only)) )
taquitos at discada.
Salad and toast at sourduck .
Then cupcakes and cocktails at Clive bar on Rainey.

Can HEARTILY recommend all that food, ESPECIALLY the bbq which was as good as any I've ever had (including Franklins/Snows)

Rent a boat or party barge on lake austin (not Travis).

Bumping this thread. Have a group from a bachelor party from all over the US meeting in Austin in Sept.

I am looking for recommendations on a nice restaurant to have one dinner, bars/restaurants, and any other things to do early September.

Get reservations now if you can, may need to call for a nice bachelor party dinner I'd go Red Ash or Comedor or Bobs as fall back.

For bachelor parties Rainey (container bar), east side (Nickel City) or west 6th for bars (dirty bills). Hit the domain if you want to try to hook up with some girls from Leander who say they live in Austin

Get a boat on Lake Austin and save a few spots for some strange you meet while you are out

If you take your Bachelor Part to the domain, you have failed.
