I've got friends stopping in Austin for the night. They're asking me for boutique hotel recommendations. I'm from SA and don't have any. They from the northeast and don't understand that I don't vacation or stay the night in Austin.

Yep. Booked a getaway for my wife this weekend and it came out to like $160 a night after taxes. They also gave us early check in.

We did the Wyndham Club and loved it. Had a balcony, full kitchen, laundry and multiple bathrooms. Built for condos but turned it into a hotel. Couple blocks from Ranch 616 and Star Bar. Right in that same price range as the Driskill.
