With all of the capital flooding in through the housing market (and the net inflow of people who mostly brought their wages with them), it is possible for me to believe that the PRA had net economic growth in 2020, but I have not seen numbers.

Nonfarm employment in Austin MSA was 1,142,000 in December 2019 (seasonally unadjusted data). Nonfarm employment in 2020 was 1,130,500. So employment down just over 1% from EOY 2019 to EOY 2020.

Real GDP statistics for 2020 at the MSA level will not be available until December 2021. (Really! Almost a one-year delay....)
