Cedar Park.

Lived there 10 years commuting to the Arboretum area, close to Domain. Easy commute.

Moved further out because Cedar Park like everywhere around Austin was getting too crowded for my tastes.

Ended up in Georgetown. Moving down in the middle of July!

Just kidding - Congrats! I just saw this thread for the first time, and was going to suggest the Great Hills area or Balcones Woods. Yes, they're in Austin, but if you time it right, you can find sub-500k homes that are pretty decent, in established neighborhoods, with little to no commute to the Domain. In your situation, you could live there a few years, and then turn it into a rental if you want to move for schools or job reasons.

BUT, that's moot now. Enjoy Georgetown! I know my mother-in-law really enjoys Sun City!
