Been meaning to give notice about this study for all the young men, fathers and grandfathers in the area. The men's fraternity at my church recently started this with two options to attend: Tuesdays 6:00am and Saturdays 7:00am.
Here is a description from the website:
The Quest for Authentic Manhood is the original curriculum in the Men'sFraternity series. A captivating journey composed of 24 sessions, this series helps men understand their masculine identity and shows them how to make
the pursuit of authentic manhood a lifelong priority that is incorporated into
the fabric of their everyday lives. It offers a clear definition of what
a man is and challenges each man to develop his own personalized manhood plan.
Like I said it is at my church, Journey Bible Fellowship, which is close to FM 1431 and Parmer/Reagan. However, this particular study is not heavy on scripture in case you are concerned about religion or denomination clashes. We are 4 sessions in but there is still a long way to go and its not too late to jump in! I figured this was a better board to post in as opposed to Religion & Philosophy. I'm personally just buying into the teachings and have a big heart for my fellow brothers out there trying to live out their specific male roles and stages. Please reply with any questions, comments, or thoughts! I can provide an email address if need be. Thanks for reading this far and your interest.
