We went to Red's over off of Lamar yesterday for brunch and really enjoyed it. They had a nice two story patio and the food was pretty good.

I like Stanley's Pizza, although it's a bit out of the way unless you are already in SW Austin.

No dogs allowed at Pour House is my only complaint. Lab dog has to stay in the bed of the truck and stare across the parking lot while we eat.

I like to eat on the front porch at Guero's, but it's not a place where kids can play. My daughter (6) really likes the playground at the 2222/360 location of Waterloo, but the food is underwhelming.

For a change from the standard food that comes with kid friendly places you can go to the play park by Doc's on Brodie. The park is for the entire center and we like to grab some Tarka and bring our own hooch while the kids play. Much better and cheaper than the awful food at Doc's but you can't buy a drink this way.

Apprarently there's some new place that just opened up near that Chinatown off Mopac. Supposed to be kid friendly. Has some odd name, can't remember it.

Are you thinking about Austin Terrier? It's dog and kid friendly. They got a small beer selection and the menu is mostly sandwiches.
