I'll be down for a few days this week. Who has the best nachos?

7-11...after consuming a case of beer.

Sully's Side Bar. Giant tv at the bar good for march madness, bartenders are easy on the eyes, best nachos I've had in town.

They also have local brews on tap. Their tacos suck-avoid them, but the nachos are great. If you cant find them on the menu just ask.

I'm a big fan of the nachos at Frank's downtown. They use waffle fries instead of chips.

those belong on the worst nachos thread. canned refried beans, barely any cheese, below average fajita meat and way too much diced onions and tomatoes. they place the tostada chips around the edge of the plate and then dump all of the cheese & meat in the middle of the plate before nuking them, so you end up with a plate of nachos where 1/2 of each nacho has no toppings.

Franks sound interesting, but if they have fries instead of chips, then they arent really nachos, and shouldnt qualify. they sound delicious, though, and might win best cheese fries.

the fajita nachos at enchiladas y mas are terrific, but the fajita plate is superior, so if you are there, i would skip the nachos and just get the fajita plate.

honestly, the fajita nachos at papacitos are some of the best you'll ever eat, but since that is a pretty big regional chain, you obviously arent getting anything specific to austin.

Not in Austin, but try the Mariachi nachos in the Mariachi Bar at Mi Tierra. That is always our reward after the SA Half Marathon.

The chuys you go to must suck. Just like you. They're delicious. Homemade chips, jalapeño, pico, grilled steak melted Colby jack, fresh guac. Awesome.

The fact that you're going to Chuy's in the first place tells me you obviously have terrible choices in restaurants. I bet you go to chili's once a month for the queso.
