Well it could be, i don't know and quite frankly I wouldn't want to find out but please check your sources. This is the same place that reported a "gang fight" at a local theatre. Sometimes us Texags posters can be a little misleading

Yeah, gotta admit, even I've heard about Halo. I was at the mall last spring when I heard a 'guy' talking about it. What I overheard went something like this, "Oooooh, isn't this skirt to die? I oughta get that to wear to Halo."

You know, now that I am thinking back, I do remember seeing a couple of squirrels playing with each others nuts in Hensel Park a few years ago.

Referring to gays as sodomites is not very nice, they are not from Sodom ..

There are tons of people who call themselves christian who are similar in acting like those gays, if you want to get technical any oral or anal sex is sodomy, .. I hope you dont like BJs from your wife.

I dont really appreciate public acts of sex from people, regardless of their sexual orientation, but using it as a forum to attack gay people is not helpful either.

Say "I dont appreciate people having sex in public, period." However, that is not the case for many of you, because the same people make funny and sophomoric comments on the football board when topics about sneaking into Kyle and doing it on the 50 come up. This was quite the scandal when I was in school in the mid 90s. Apparently the men's room on the third floor of the Academic Building made some national list of the top 10 locations for "anonymous gay sex"... There was this big deal over how they were going to have to lock the doors at night....It used to be one of the places where you could go to study in the evenings.

I guess we all insular each in or own way so I guess I am not surprised that quite a few people never heard this. Rumor on the of the boards around here a while back was that the "action" had moved to Lick Creek....

During Rita, I was in a datacenter in downtown Bryan backing up systems that night and there was a real party going on across the street at Halo, actually some of the party never made it into Halo. I think some coworkers saw things happening on main street in Bryan that they never thought they would see in town happen. The anti-narcotics task force officer working security at the data center said he was pretty sure the really wild people that night were from out of town based on most of Halo's patrons reactions.

I know some some international students ended up getting a real shock at Hensel.

Of course also in the mid 90's, my roommate was doing police ride-a-longs and they found a guy and a girl stark naked in research park on one of the big rocks going at it one night. The officer told him it wasn't an uncommon occurence and every weekend usually had it's own stories.

So I have heard of Hensel Park but never been there. I just looked it up on Google maps.

Yeah, what people have posted about Hensel is pretty accurate. In the late 90's (98 or 99) I lead a group that bulldozed out the front of Hensel, removed low branches and deadwood.

We collected two 55 gallon trash bags of porn, condom wrappers and condoms. Picnic benches had been dragged into the woods for sex and people's names, numbers and descriptions were carved into the wood.

On the 2nd day of the project, someone copied hundreds of gay porn images and folded them neatly in half, putting a rock on top of the butt loving. Nice prize for the clean up crew.

When we walked Brookside and the neighborhood to tell them what we would be doing, the residents were uninterested and mostly rude. "Oh, that's a rumor" or "You're wrong." was a common response.

It's been a while, but still the park is more visible for cops pulling into the parking lot. I still see some of the same people out there.
