i take my dogs to the bryan animal clinic, dr. wheeler. she is great & the staff is awesome. they always work w/you for times & if you are low on cash, they are always willing to work something out. it is very obvious that the health of the animals comes first. i found a dog on wed & they scanned him for a microchip at no cost & did a quick look over at no cost.

when my parents had to live w/me for a month last year after hurricane rita, i had to bring their cat to the small animal clinic & they charged out of the ass to just talk to me so i could get the food he needed (he's diabetic) & some insulin for him. my parents pay a lot less at the little clinic they go to in their town then what A&M charged.

to get both of my dogs all of their shots, tags, physical, nails clip, & heart worm meds, about $200. she gives a discount for multiple dogs during same appointment.

Dr. Bonds off of 2818 is a great vet. He's an old Ag, but he is fair with his pricing. He doesn't push a lot of services on you and is very good. Both of my dogs like him.

I second Dr Bond.

I tried the new vet at PetSmart, because I "won" a free office visit (everyone won one). Will never go back. Went to that expensive 1 on Wellborn 1x, because Dr Bond was booked up, and we had a sick puppy. They try to sell U everything. Have been to 1 or 2 others too.

Dr Bond is very reasonably priced, and he is the cheapest on the heartworm medication that I have found. I have taken my dogs to him for years.

Used Dr. Bond for years on cats and dogs when in B/CS. Would highly recommend.

Just to add something else, Dr. Bond at Southwood Valley and the vets at Kingdom Animal Hospital in Bryan are very generous as well. They donate their vet services to an animal rescue here in town. Both great vets clinics and that is where I take my personal animals as well.

Craig Bond is the absolute favorite of my animals! He is very knowledgeable and has a common sense approach with and eye toward reasonable cost. His staff is always very polite and courteous. Have used him for over 7 years for our cats and dogs. We did however use Highway 30 for a quick visit when Dr. Bond's office was closed during the holidays. They were great too! :-)

Dr. Lackey Hwy 30 Vet Clinic- great staff and very reasonably priced for this area.

Thanks for the good words about Boonville! We just took our dog there, and felt very cared for and well-treated. Pretty inexpensive, too.

Thumbs up for Dr Lipsey!

I can never say enough good things about Dr. Lipsey. She helped me care for my cat through her last days of cancer. I'd had Elsie since college and coming to terms with the knowledge that I was going to have to put her to sleep was very difficult - to top it off, I was pregnant (ie. very emotional to begin with). Dr. Lipsie, in her usual caring and understanding way, didn't complain when I made a Saturday morning appointment to "get it over with" and then chickened out at the last minute. When I finally went through with it, she let me hold Elsie in my arms and comforted me until it was all over. I left with out having to deal with talking to anyone. She doesn't charge for this and does it before or after hours so you don't have to face other people and their pets.

She is thorough without overdoing it and is an excellent vet for all stages of your pet's life.

This past week I had to bring one of my dogs to Dr Bond. His exam fee is 11.00 and the re-check was free.

This vet has a genuine concern and treats each patient like a buddy.
