........I was by there on Saturday when I was in town and it looked closed. I always wanted to try that place but never did. Any word from you locals on the status? Thanks!

BTW....was it or is it any good? Always looked like an interesting place!!

It closed a few months back.

I liked it, but it was always empty. It wasn't the best steak in the world (probably on the same level as the CS Outback), but it wasn't bad and you could always be seated right away. Plus, their salads were always super cold and they gave you a fresh jalapeno with your steak.

They had good fried pickles, too. I was sorry to see it close.

It got a big giant "meh" from me. I think the nearby hotels kept it in business. i don't know that many locals that ate there.

Yep - those were good, too - much better than
Wings N More, IMO. They were along the lines of Razzoo's fried pickles, IMO.

It was mediocre at best.

I think the only reasons the guys doing track events at TWS went there was because it was always empty and was next to the Hilton.

Went there once about 3 years ago. Thought it was overpriced and not very good. Never went back. Not surprised to see that it finally bit the dust.

Drivin, you can get fried pickles from WnM.

T-Bone's was good back when I was in school but when I ate there 2 years ago, the quality of the food had gone way down hill as did the quality of service. La Baronina was much better.

The best steak in town is at J. Cody's, in my humble opinion.

Have you ever had the ones from Sodolack's on 21? Number one chop chop there.

ugh, I got a steak there that smelled like cow.... not like beef, but like another cow product (not leather either...) That was the first and last time I ate there....

T-Bones was owned by the same company as Oxford. At one time the CS T-Bone was the highest grossing restaurant in the organization, but really went downhill after Roadhouse opened up. Location was a challenge.

Oxford itself has also slid, in my opinion. Used to be the place to go for a little more upscale dinner. Now it just looks like a place that used to be nice. The food quality has suffered as well, but the salad bar still rocks.
