Well, things are looking better. They are setting up interviews next week, so I may get to return to the promised land (I am sure my wife is thrilled)!

Who did you meet that would be your boss?

Don't want to jinx anything, so I will hold on to that name. It was just an informal meeting to get more info on the job.

With all that said, it sounds like something right up my alley with a great long term potential. I still haven't made the interview cut, but I am hoping to be selected.

Obviously, I haven't lived in B/CS outside of school, but from those who do live there with families and professional jobs, it seems to be right up my alley.

i've lived in B/CS for almost 10 years now, and i love it...working for A&M is awesome...there are many benefits to working at A&M besides cost of living and all that stuff...

the insurance isn't too bad I suppose... or at least that's what I gathered while working as a grad student.

Job security is there for sure... beats all the lay-offs you might face in the 'real world'.

Got an interview. Now I just have to land the job. It would be great to be back in College Station working for the University.

Starting to get real now. Interview set for February. If all works out, I could be back in B/CS before spring break!!!

I had an interview there on Monday. An hour and a half of questions, fun times. But it seemed like a nice place to work.

Who were you interviewing with BQ2001? The Texas A&M Foundation or another group on campus?

It was CIS. I've applied for dozens of jobs at A&M, 12th man, ASN etc, but this was my fisrt bite. I think I did ok in the interview, but I started getting nervous for some reason about an hour into it for some strange reason.

Thanks. I know I would accept the job and move in an instant, but it might take a little more convincing for the wife if I get the offer.
