I know Bryan-College Station doesn't exactly have a robust comedy scene but I'm trying to do new things and trying my hand at stand up was one of those things. Are there any places in town (restaurants I would assume) where I could go and try to not bomb?

Was hoping for an open mic, not an actual show. Want to work on my material.

Two problems..."randomly picked" means you might not get a chance to participate at all...and I don't have friends that I can go with.

Is there not some restaurant or bar that will give aspiring comedians five minutes with a microphone? Seems like a missing niche considering how many places have a place for aspiring musicians.

It looks like they have open mic nights on Wednesday evenings.
