I have a coworker that works for BEST as a side gig so he can go to the events. He is local and had a bachelors degree and a great day job.

Those are the supervisor and above positions they fill. The actual bag checkers are not local and paid very little. And do a terrible job. Generally the highlighter yellow shirts. The same person is rarely even around for a second game. The gray and black shirts are different.

Pepperidge Farms remembers when all those folks were locals, and paid by the University. Heck, I might have worked a gate a few years, and got paid by the University.

A lot of the supervisor and above still are. My neighbor works football, baseball, volleyball, and basketball.

To my knowledge, only the yellow-shirt bag checker/security types are bussed in. The supervisor and support staff are usually local. Ticket scanners are still mostly youth groups like scouts and school clubs that are supervised by their adult leaders. They're definitely getting exactly what they pay for with the bus-in group. It's bewildering that they still aren't making attendees pass through metal detectors.

Late to respond to this but my seats are very, very close to there. Always fun to see the VIP's that come through. Last year saw Johnny come up and sign shirts for kids who were babies when he played

IMO, the only folks with field passes should be those that donate MILLIONS to the athletic program and fund all that NIL nonsense.

I only mention this because it is obvious we need to buy a few more players (QB) and some more funds coming in would be helpful.

Arch Manning took $6.8 million last year. He went down to $2 million this year so tu could recruit more.
