I have a jet 16 inch planer that I need help with.. A bushing broke thats inside the motor housing to raise and lower the blades... I have the broken bushing... and I know what I need to order, but not 100% sure if I need more parts... Had a knowledgable guy come over and help me, showed me the bushing... and said he'd help but he doesnt seem interested in the project anymore and it's basically a weird situation.... and I dont want to go into it.. so please dont ask..

so the machine weighs about 500 lbs.. it aint going anywhere... its a professional grade HEAVY machine..

trying to help someone with a project but didnt anticipate a broken machine... Sorry Mr C...

Look at the Schematic of the parts breakdown and it will show the part number. Then call their parts dept. and see if they can help you? I did this with a Grizzly 20" Planer when a gear broke on the chain to the sprocket that drives the cutter head.

ive already done that.. I've even got the broken piece here on my desk cause it just fell out of the motor/blade housing... but I have NO idea how to put it back on. The people at Jet have told me to just look at the manual cause it has instructions on how to fix stuff but it has NO instructions for my specific problem and I have more understanding of nuclear physics than how to fix this thing,,, and I have less than zero understanding of nuclear physics..
