If you're coming to College Station for the game on Saturday, September 12th, you've got a
pretty good excuse to sneak out of town for a few hours.

About 30 minutes down Highway 21, Caldwell is celebrating the 41st Annual Kolache Festival.

Come hungry for fresh kolaches, great food, live polka music by the Shiner Hobo Band,
150-plus vendors, a classic car show, and the famous Kolache Eating Contest.

But there's something new this yearthe Czech Heritage Experiencea chance to get an
inside look at the rich Czech heritage of our friends just down Highway 21.

And admission to the festival is FREE.

So go ahead… you don't have to tell anyone you left Aggieland.
Just make it back in time for the half-time showand grab a kolache for the road.

They should really consider that tens of thousands of people that will drive through their town the day before and the day after this festival. Planning it DURING the Aggie game forgoes the participation of all those people driving back home Sunday.

It's always been the second Saturday of September. For decades. It's great when we have an evening game. Kolaches in the morning, football at night.
