From TexAgs Sponsor, Frogslayer:

I started tinkering with AI back in 2023. And I was bad at it, ha. Fumbling my way through trying to figure it out.
After a month or so, I was fairly sure I'd be out of a job in a couple of years...but look at me now - still here!
I've seen AI fall flat in plenty of areas. Being in marketing, my "design this" and "caption this" attempts haven't gotten me very far. Thankfully.
But you know what it is good at? The boring parts of my day. Triaging my inbox. Finding a meeting time without eight emails. Pulling up something I wrote in my notes four months ago that I'd never have found on my own.
None of that is impressive, but all of it gives me an hour back, and the hour goes to the work I actually enjoy.
We've been running AI and automation roundtables here in BCS for a while now, and that ratio comes up over and over. The flashy stuff underdelivers. The unglamorous stuff sticks. It's been awesome hearing business leaders share ideas & successful use cases across the table.
So, I ask you the same thing we ask them: what did you try that didn't do what it promised, and what's actually working for you?
