August in Aggieland is not subtle.

The seats are hot. The walk across campus feels longer than you remember. And even standing still can leave you wondering why you bothered to shower.

There may not be a game at Kyle Field until September 5, but every Aggie who has attended an early-season game knows the heat does not always check the schedule.

Maybe you remember sitting in the student section with the sun directly in your face. Maybe it was one of those afternoon kickoffs when the water, sunscreen and frozen towels could not keep up. Or maybe the hottest game you remember had less to do with the temperature and more to do with what happened on the field.

However miserable it felt at the time, it probably became one of those stories you still tell.

for me it was either SMU in 2005 or Fresno St in '07.
Those early Septmber early kickoff games are a beast.
I'm sure a few on this board will say this years Arizona St. game in 3 weeks will be one if not the hottest because of the early kickoff.

What felt like the hottest game was the 2013 Alabama game. The old stadium was packed and there was no wind at all, so the temperatures reported to be in the mid to upper 90's felt much hotter and stifling. The on-field temperatures were reported to be 120+ degrees. Medical personnel lined the northeast ramps treating dozens of fans for heat exhaustion.

1995 vs LSU at Kyle. It was 103 and way hotter near the field. I was in the lower level of the horseshoe and it was miserable. There were forklifts carrying pallets stacked with bags of ice and they could barely move because everyone was running up to them and hugging the ice.

1995 or 1993 LSU.

For sure. We were in the north end zone and it was incredibly hot.

That 07 Fresno St game sticks in my mind. Maybe the length of the game adds to it. Plenty of hot games but that was the first to come to mind

The whole student section smelled like sweat

The Larry Fitzgerald game in September 03, IIRC it was mid-upper 90's and humid as heck, we sat in the sun the whole afternoon and baked.

There were some hot ones in the 90's… but definitely Fresno State. That one was brutal.

SMU in 2005. You could see kids fainting in the student section from the other side.

1991 vs LSU was pretty toasty.

The only breeze was the Ags whipping LSU 45-7

Fresno St in 07. Heat index of 115 with no wind and several over times to make it worse.

Who could forget Mike Leach, Kliff KIngsbury, Wes Welker and Company and what they did on that day. I was there.
