A while back I heard Mr. Gatti's was coming back to town. My grandkids would love something like that in CStat. Anyone know anything?

We had a full "Gattiland" (and later "Gattitown") in College Station, but it closed about a decade ago. I think they might be talking about the restaurants themselves (which are in Austin).
I tried them when I lived in Austin. It was awful. They use a parbaked crust yet they still charged prices similar to what you could order a real pizza (like from Trackside).

Mr. Gattis is amazing. Really hope they come back in one form or another. The crust is the best part.
Gattiland was in Bryan.

Gattiland was in Bryan, Gattitown was in College Station. In this case, I was using "College Station" as a colloquial term for the area.

Yes, and one in Bryan approximately where Walgreens is now at Texas and Villa Maria. Both 2 stories.

Yup! That place was great. I was sophomore in high school but had a huge buddy who never got ID'd there so he would buy pitchers and I'll never forget watching aThursday night game there.... and saw Quentin Coryatt deliver THE HIT. So that place is forever etched into my mind.
I also remember way back in the day there was a Gatti's in Bryan near Texas and Villa Maria that was allsome.
I know the Mr. Gatti's in Rockdale was awesome when I was a kid. We'd get the buffet and play arcade games until I ran out of my mom's quarters.

I'll never forget… our son was 6ish and we took him to a friends bday party at Gattiland. As we were leaving at the end of the party he said "can we stop somewhere to eat? I'm starving!" I grabbed the door right before it shut and marched him back to the buffet! He'd been too busy playing to eat!

We had one recently on brenham but it only lasted a few yrs. The pizza was bad and game overpriced.it supposedly closed due to highway 290 construction but it just had no business to stay open.

Yes. The pizza was great, whereas the Gattiland pizza was average.
My sister and her high school boyfriend use to go Mr. Gatti's fir live music. They frequently shared pizza with a singer with a strange haircut, named Lyle.

Don't worry, I did more business in Cameron later in life, piss on Rockdale. You know a place is super special when it still has an active key club.
I was told one of the owners was injured in the Brenham DPS office when the truck driver intentionally crashed into it. It was pretty mediocre in the later days of the restaurant. Wish one would open in BCS.
