It is a winter squash. I just heard about it, sounds interesting. Did not know if anybody had any experience with it.

Well. I looked into it and I am trying to buy some seeds but the shipping is crazy If I get some planted I will let you know but mashed pototoe squash does sound different
Also here is the reason it is called winter because it stores for very long times and that is the difference between summer and winter squash You can still plant in march or july
