My wife and I are building a home in Bryan and are looking for a short-term rental while construction is underway. We're hoping for a 6-month or month-to-month lease, preferably under $1,800/month including utilities.

We have one cat and one dog, so a pet-friendly place is a must. Ideal move-in would be late June or July 1st.

Any leads or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Try to find individual owners rather than management companies. Be willing to offer a couple hundred per month over normal rent. Don't be surprised if you can't find anything. Apartment complexes are much more likely to do it.

Look up McBride properties. We were in the exact same scenario the year before last. We rented from them while we built, were able to add a few months for no additional cost, and they were accommodating of our two dogs.

We rented in the Yaupon Trails neighborhood, but I'm sure they have other options.

Also, 6 months is highly optimistic lol
