I just received my first same day delivery in BCS that wasn't delivered by a drone. Is this new for our area, or have I just been missing out all this time?

Amazon same day delivery

Watch out for them. Had one 2 days ago. She didnt speak a word of english- came blazing down our private driveway at 6:30 in the morning out in the country (Amazon confirmed she was not supposed to drive onto our property, and certainly not before 7:30 am). When confronted, she started erratically driving through our property (all still very muddy from the rain), leaving ruts everywhere (by "everywhere", i mean off the road in our field, over a culvert, spinning tires in mud).
Had to file a property damage claim with Amazon, having dirt work company out tomorrow to quote out the damage.
The kicker- never got my package.

I'm down south by Wellborn. Ordered something Thursday morning at 8:00am and saw it was to be delivered "Today between 5-8pm" (meaning Thursday. Around 5 o'clock I got a notification on my app that said they were four stops away and sure enough about 15 minutes later the nice Amazon lady walked across our front yard and put our package on the front porch. Glad we did not have the same experience that you did.

Its been a nightmare. We have had another next day driver deliver before and it was fine. But this one was HORRIBLE.

I'm pretty sure that exact same driver just came to my house and delivered my next door neighbor's package. I happened to be standing outside and she still couldn't figure it out when I told her it was the wrong address.
You can see her first attempt at exiting the property- she drive up the culvert/drainage ditch and hit that fence post. Its metal set in concrete.

Sheesh! I can see on the tracking page that my driver is a guy, so at least I know it's not her!!

Same day has been available for us a few miles NE of Bryan for a couple of months. Usually delivered in a white van marked "Delivery Driver" or something generic like that. Sometimes a personal vehicle, but no crazy drivers so far.
$25 minimum order, and it's kind of hit or miss what items qualify for same day. But we've used it numerous times without any problems. The item I usually want is like $20, so they always get an extra "impulse buy" from me.
I just ordered some otoscopes that a mom brought in that I was really impressed with for $40 each- ordered 9 am Saturday going to be delivered Sunday morning in Pebble Creek.

Same day or next day is new to the area and started when the amazon distribution center opened up in Bryan.
Since they built the local distribution center all of my deliveries have been by a white van with "Delivery driver" on the side. Very good service and I and so happy to see it. Hopefully no more deliveries from the USPS.
Thought I'd mention Home Depot in the conversation for same day delivery. Yesterday I was looking online at Lowe's and Home Depot for an old school fluorescent bulb because Amazon was going to take 3 or 4 days, figured I'd just run to the store.
I was surprised to see Home Depot showing an option for "Free delivery - Today." Ordered just after lunch and it was at my front door by 4 p.m., same price as if I'd bought it off the shelf.

Got a new puppy and didn't want to leave him alone but needed some supplies. Ordered some things Saturday morning…delivered about 6:00 same day. Happy with this service!

It's off of Mumford Rd, right near the intersection of 2818 and 6 in Bryan.
