Size matters........when it comes to round-a-bouts. If you have the space to make one big enough they work great. When you make these mini ones like they put on WJB and other roads around town, it just slows traffic and pisses everyone off. WJB now feels like a narrow, F1 road course with mulitple zigs and zags instead of the gently curving roadway that was there previously.

Speed limit is 30, the roundabouts work fine.

The recommended speed limit is 30 mph ; ) Mini roundabouts are ok for normal size cars. Large trucks and semis with trailers tend to take up much more room.

Yep, just look at the one at Eagle and Longmire...complete cluster****. I see near accidents every day because people either fly through them or others start to enter the circle at the wrong times.

I've seen more than one large truck completely disregard the roundabout on Longmire and just drive over it. I imagine the same can be said for others around town.

Do you want the speed limit on Harvey Rd-East (Hwy 6 Bypass to Booneville Rd) lowered to 30 MPH? I do not. And, I doubt that others of us who use Harvey Rd-East every day of our lives want the speed limit lowered to 30 MPH.

Roundabouts are a bad idea for Harvey Rd East. Harvey Rd-East should have been made four lanes 20 years ago before all the development took place.

should have been widened 5-8 years ago. a lot of reactive road construction versus proactive.

...and keep traffic moving

Yeah, as long as there's not too much traffic. Holleman Drive West and Jones-Butler Road is a fraction of what Harvey Road gets and you'll still be stuck 2-3 cars behind on a given traffic time. Imagine Harvey Road during peak hours.
