Aerials look like there's already a decent sized (several hundred acres) solar farm on the north side of the lake.

That's two different PV facilities. ENEL's Blue Jay Solar to the north, Naturgy/Candela's Grimes County Solar to the south.

I attended a rural graveside service last summer and drove for over a mile past the Bluejay Farm. Huge.

I spoke with an old Ag this morning about fishing at GCR, and thought I'd see if there was any public access still open. The only access I found on GPS was on CR 171 off of the 244 cutoff from 30. I went all the way down 171 until I came upon 2 Colliers Engineering trucks - 1 inside the gate and 1 outside. While the guy inside the gate was locking it up, I noticed a warning sign that read "No YouTube Videos Allowed - You Are Being Filmed".

I asked the guy in the truck outside the gate if he knew where any other public access was, and he just laughed and said "I don't know nothin'"

From what I could see on the drive up to the gate, I'd love to get there early in the morning and work some Hul-A-Popprs on them lily pads. I'll bet there's some good sized bass back in there...

Yeah, I should have made it clearer that when I was speaking with my buddy, it had been in the context of what that entire area will look like in 5yrs after EM's TeraFab gets built there at GCR.

Wish I would have ventured out there a couple of years ago. Not sure how anyone's going to get on the water now. Unless someone knows where a break in the fence might be?
