Sundance was a club in the Hilton about 30 years ago. It is now the "Oakwood Ballroom" but if you have ever been to Sundance you will definitely get Deja Vu walking in there.

The Aggie Pile Driver was their signature drink and tastes about how it sounds. Long Island Iced tea vibes. I'm pretty sure it got it's name because if you drank two of them, the next morning your head felt like Stone Cold Steve Austin gave you a Pile Driver.

Many drink specials and good times were had there back in the time before social media and smart phones!

Sundance club was in the Hilton. You could buy the Piledriver and bring the cup back and get refills for cheap. Was kind of like a hurricane if I remember correctly? Maybe trashcan punch? They had karaoke one night of the week and a lingerie show with a free taco buffet another night of the week. This was 30+ years ago.

Great memories. Those pile drivers would sneak up on you because the punch would cover up the taste of alcohol and it was easy to drink way too much. Comedy club on Wednesday(?) night was a blast.

Kiddoc and I had that same cup in our collection up until about 15 years ago.

Sundance was awesome because it was the only place to dance to club music when we were in school. Everything else was country.

I remember any coin any drink at Grahms or Denim and Diamonds. I dont remember penny pitchers but I do remember quarter pitchers at Carneys on Thursdays from 7 to 10. 9: 50 and everyone lined up at the bar to get their last cheap pitcher before the cutoff. Then there was the bladder buster special at Sneakers on Harvey.

I had a 15 year-old roommate in the dorm (yes he was 15) one summer that tried to get into Sundance with a fake id by taping his picture to it. It was funny as hell to watch in real life. He was meeting an older lady there. If you are the older lady, I don't know your identity or name. he told her he was 21 though.

saw the kid a couple years later. he was in the corpse. Military brat from overseas.

I was the emcee. Also did comedy night. I was on KTSR at the time.
