Depends on what you want. I bought a social membership in December and it was $2000 less 30% promotion and $195/month plus usage, meals, etc. I don't golf so it's good for us. A client bought a golf membership at the same time and I think it was $7000 less the 30%. Don't know his monthly. There's a middle tier that gives you tennis for I think $4000.

I figured it would be a lot more money upfront to join.

Those numbers sound like resident membership initiation/dues. The OP was asking about non-resident. Now if those are in fact the non-resident numbers then holy cow, the initiation fees have really gone up!

I do live here but the client that bought the golf membership doesn't. I didn't ask if there was a difference.
