Some remarks from seeing the schematics:
- No buildings appear to be in the way, a welcome change from what I've seen in Houston
- I'm not sure about two lanes exiting SB to Highway 40.
- Highway 40 is getting a continuous flow intersection, but only eastbound. This means an additional stoplight between the frontage road and Arrington, but only if you're heading westbound.
- There is "sort of" a continuous frontage road between Harvey Mitchell Pkwy. and Rock Prairie, provided you use the on-ramp to get back on the sub-ramp between them. This is also a way to sort of rebuild the southbound ramp back onto Harvey Mitchell...
- ...but that also means no exit onto Deacon, and exiting on Rock Prairie becomes substantially more complicated
- The frontage road on the southbound side flies over University Drive, but you'll have to take a ramp from the northbound side to stay on the frontage road since all three lanes will turn left onto University.
- Re-entering the highway from Briarcrest SB is very close to where the old entrance ramp was; once again FBC churchgoers will have to go down to University Drive if they want to enter the freeway.
- Any plans of connecting Oak Hill together...dead.
- The entrance to Boonville is essentially unchanged where it is. The "dotted line" shared area only marginally fixes the existing problems of the NB from University Drive entering and the SB exiting to Boonville.
- No more left turn from Boonville into the Kroger shopping center. It's turn right or bust.
- Nothing was added in regards of Sam Rayburn.
- The third lane NB simply ends by merging back into the freeway just north of Old Reliance. When it came to 290 in Houston, the old pre-2019 construction had the third lane exit off at Mason Road, now the inner lane went away just east of FM 362. In Highway 6, it's the outer lane that merges away.
- Woodville Road still isn't changed, nor is the abrupt 2 lane/one lane change at Woodville on the frontage road.
