If it wasn't difficult what happened in 2020 would not be an issue in 2025 I would think. I appreciate the challenges that inflation and staffing have presented to lots of businesses over the last 5 years. I know none still running COVID hours.

Now you do.

It could also be that they didn't see enough business on M-W to warrant the operating expenses. Dunno. Prolly.

And a day or two off is acceptable.

Lots of businesses in the Tower Point and Caprock areas do well. They are a couple miles south of the start of the bypass, maybe even three miles.

Hullabaloo sucks

Except it doesn't.

The Gardens and Greens Scramble is fantastic.

Couldn't tell you the last time I went and was happy with that decision. It's always disappointing

They are certainly welcome to work what ever hours work for them. Every possible customer is welcome to make decisions about how their hours work for them as well. Not even bringing the quality and character of the food offerings into the picture. That's because Welborn is in the state of Texas. Not in a country that would regulate such things. I guess my point that their irregularity and sparseness of availability affects my consideration in rotation of options was lost. If I need a spreadsheet to understand the options - or simply if you are closed days that aren't Sunday or Monday- you aren't in my rotation.

There schedule has been the same since COVID. They post their menu on social media on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

This isn't difficult.

Or you can keep going off of hearsay from the Aggieland board. The same people who gave blue stars to the genius that said "we have always been able to order from the speaker at La Familia" even though it's just flat out wrong.

I went to De Baca for brunch with family earlier this month. It was reasonably priced for brunch (I've been to fancier) and very good, with filling servings.

I was less impressed with Taco Crave. The door buzzer was going off constantly, and tortillas that were clearly store-bought and reheated. Some above-average fillings couldn't rescue the tortilla, unfortunately.

Dang man

The speaker did work at where La Famila new place is located. Used it several times when it was taco casa. So I figured they would be using it as well bc most drive through places do.

You using this as a argument to get on a soup box is not helping you. It just looks like you are venting.

Aggies gave blue stars to a comment with total common sense. Why did they do that? It's hurting my feelings.

LB12Diamond isn't out of order. What's out of order here is the fact that they aren't using the speaker/drive thru system that's in place and still operating in the 1940"s lol. It would be a simple adaptation that clearly would pay big dividends. It's the difference between it being a drive thru and just an order window.

Smart people call ahead. They have a sign on the side of the building encouraging people to call.

They had the same at the Barron location.

But regardless, nobody has ever ordered thru a speaker at either La Familia location, despite someone dying on a hill with that claim and several lemmings following up that hill to jump off a cliff.

Now I'm off to find a soup box.

All local restaurants should be open 24/7, never charge for water or ice cups or refills on sodas or tea or coffee, should never charge extra for condiments no matter how many a customer feels entitled to take, and should only serve meals on Noritake China that was kiln fired in occupied Japan immediately after WWII, never on styrofoam or paper plates/containers.
