I have a new house, and I need someone to drill the kitchen cabinet doors and install handles on my new cabinets.

The builder gave me the contact info to their trim guy who could do this, but I am having no luck reaching him.

Anyone know someone who knows what they are doing and can do this? From prior experience, there is a templet you put on the cabinet door, and you drill into that specific spot.

I would like someone who does construction/this type of thing professionally. My wife will kill me if someone just comes over with a drill and messes up the cabinets

I would think your cabinet maker/installer would do this.

I've recently dealt with the two cabinet/trim guys below and have been very happy:

Robert Grant at Grant Designs 979-599-5445

Josh at JM Trim Work and Cabinets 979-571-8914

Josh will likely be able to get to it sooner, although I would trust each of their work equally.

Cabinet pull template

Is this a possibility ? Less than $20 to buy a template. Practice on scrap wood before attempting on actual cabinets

I saw a templet at Home Depot for less than $12. But, I did not want to take a chance and screw something up. Only 1 shot at getting it right. So, I paid someone already.

Bought a house last summer and had the same situation, no cabinet pulls. Ordered one of those templates from Amazon and it worked like a charm. I think the hardest part was learning to trust it.

Not sure what someone would charge to install pulls, but no way I would pay someone after using that template myself.

My hubby bought the template and did the pulls on our cabinets; he found it to be easy.

Hob Knob in downtown Bryan will come out and install hardware you purchase from them. They make install hardware purchased from elsewhere, I'm not sure. I just know we bought our hardware from them and then he charged a separate fee to come out and install it all. He did a great job and save me the anxiety of screwing up expensive cabinets.

We used Hob Knob also and they are great, but they have moved from downtown. They are now in the Planet Fitness shopping center on Briarcrest.

I'm not going to say how much it was, but it wasn't cheap to do 31 drawers/doors.
