For the last 3 days we've had little to no cell service off Hwy 30 not far from Central Church. Anyone else having trouble?

It was very bad yesterday 2/6/25 but seemed to be working today for us.

It's always bad in southeast Bryan! When contacted ATT said "Yep, it's Bad!"

One of the reasons we ditched them.

But mostly it was the little charges they were adding to the bill each month. They hope you are too busy complaining about terrible cell signal to notice.

AT&T is always highly ranked for reliability in Texas by JD Power - often #1. We've been with them since the Houston Cellular days in the 90s and seldom have had issues. That said, there were some wonky things going on with Mrs. Halibut's phone the other day.

AT&T has sucked and as said above, they keep adding more and more to their bill…I am about done with them.

We switched from AT&T to Verizon this year. It isn't really any better. In some ways, actually worse.

I just switched to Consumer Cellular. They use both AT&T and TMobile towers. Now that I'm commuting back between Bryan and West Texas, I need the reliability of AT&T out there. The husband has kept his AT&T and there are places where I have 5G+ and he has LTE. I assume it's because my phone is on T-Mobile at that point.

BUT I NEED TO SWITCH. I am going to be traveling a lot, specifically to Mexico and CC is EXPENSIVE there. So I was hoping to pop over to TMobile will work here and in West Texas. And now they are partnering with Starlink, which works FANTASTIC out there.

Yeah I'm curious about TMobile and Starlink. Do you have to pay for starlink as well? It's not cheap yet.

We switched to T Mobile a few months ago due to horrendous customer service from Verizon. It has been spectacular and much cheaper than what we were paying on Verizon. It also includes international service.

I had AT&T for many years. Sat through so many rate hikes, plan changes, etc. We made the move to Mint Mobile a couple of years ago and don't regret it at all. My bill for the entire family (4) is cheaper than what I was paying for just my wife and I on AT&T and we have experienced better coverage. Happy to send anyone interested a referral link.

Live out in King Oaks and ATT phone service has been absolutely horrendous in the past few months. Something definitely changed.

I would like to hear from more people who have TMobile. I have heard others switching to them. Those who had AT&T and switched to TMobile, what are your thoughts? Things that are better? Things that are worse? How much are you paying? How many people on your plan?

Also, how does it work when one company can use the same towers as another? Is it straight up the same results for both? Is somehow the 'second' or maybe 'smaller' company subject to less results/output? (Not sure of the correct verbiage here, lol)

I just switched to TMobile. I went around town yesterday and had 5G Ultra just about everywhere. Was on the phone and never had a call drop. Now I am driving to West Texas this weekend and will be in parts of the state that have BAD AT&T service, so I'll be able to tell you how it does out there.

I'm gonna answer some of the other questions that have been asked on this thread about towers etc.

Consumer Cellular, Cricket and Straight Talk are on AT&T's network.

Visible, US Mobile and Spectrum are on Verizon.

Mint and Metro are on TMobile. US Mobile is also on TMobile like Consumer Cellular. TMobile and AT&T use some of the same tech, which is why its a bit easier for them to share.
