We are beginning to develop a self storage facility in Bryan, Texas. We got a couple of recommendations and I wanted to run them by TexAgs and see if ya'll had any experience with any of these and/or others. Thanks!

I've personally done a lot of business with Gessner and CME and have found them easy to work with.

I can also recommend Dudley Engineering for Geotech.

I think a great business in get into as many persons can't afford to buy homes and persons in small homes don't want to move and buy bigger and lose their 3 to 4% interest rates.

Just get outside the city limits. The two people I know have said that the property taxes are eating their lunch.

Copying and pasting my response from your thread in Business and Investing since this seems like a better forum for it:

I work with CME and Gessner extensively, and have nothing but good things to say about them. CME is just going to do the geotech and materials testing, as compared to Gessner who will do that plus any structural engineering. I haven't worked with Terracon in years.

I know more of the general commercial construction builders and architects. I think you'd be dealing with a somewhat different pool with a self storage facility.

Terracon is great, CME is great, Gessener is great... I do beleive Gessner can do the testing AND structural as a package deal..

I work with an architectural firm in Brenham, that has a satellite office in College Station (PlanNorth). An architect can/will coordinate all the moving peices of engineers and builders.

Other architectural firms to recommend is R.L. Payne, Arkitex Studio, Pact and Patterson Architects.

Have worked with all of these, and Praxis, and would not hesitate to use all/any of them
