Anyone in BCS sell farm fresh eggs? We get ours from Yonder Way Farm but they only deliver once a month to town now.

I am certainly aware of diseases circulating in poultry but not sure why the need to redact HPAI. Also not sure that HPAI is affecting farm fresh eggs in Texas unless it is due to increased demand from increased commercial egg cost.
The last HPAI detection in poultry (commercial or backyard) in Texas was January 9th. Before that, it was April of 2024. There were detections in wild birds in January and a few in November. There are undoubtedly flocks that get sick and are not reported, but if it was really rampaging through flocks, someone would be reporting it.007ag said:backyard flocks cant get HPAI?chickencoupe16 said:Hornbeck said:Username does not check out.chickencoupe16 said:Very curious what disease was redacted and whyFlyRod said:

The Texas Animal Health Commission and USDA. I cannot imagine much of an impact but that is stepping outside of my lane. The real need for improvement is testing and reporting of cattle infected with HPAI.MiMi said:chickencoupe16 said:The last HPAI detection in poultry (commercial or backyard) in Texas was January 9th. Honest question here. Who is it reported to? And will the current federal governmental situation affect how reporting is done or if/when the public is notified?
