Have you seen this? https://www.kbtx.com/2025/02/05/postponed-usps-bryan-meeting-quietly-rescheduled-virtual-by-invitation-town-hall/

They canceled/postponed the first meeting because they thought too many people had signed up and the venue wasn't big enough.

Now it's switched to Friday morning over Zoom and just the people who had signed up in the first place. My guess is they're trying to make it where hardly anyone shows up.

Anyone going?

As the host, you can mute the others in the meeting, you cannot do that in person. Wonder why it switched to online?

Most likely because if it was in person, it would devolve into a shouting match.

Actually it makes me feel better they delayed the meeting. I would really get worried if they delivered something when they said they would.

I hadn't even thought about them muting people, but you're right. They'll most likely mute everyone except for the host and then briefly unmute only the softball questions that they feel like answering. They won't address any of the concerns that have prompted people to sign up.

What is the point. We know they suck and they know they suck.

It's exactly this.

And they would have to be face to face with people wanting to hold them accountable.

Why do that when you can mute them on Zoom?

They should just acknowledge specific issues and say how they are working to address them.

I won't be on the call, but I hope they will at least allow the attendees to "chat" if everyone is muted.

There's a feature to raise your hand to be able to be unmuted and speak. Hopefully they'll be using that

Yep. Keeps things civil and orderly and prevents an unhinged mob from yelling and screaming all at once. Useful feature.

My money is on "Zoom malfunction"... Can I put $20 down for that?

Newsflash... When questioned by Congress, the Postmaster General covered his ears...

They don't want to hear from you.

I'm in the Zoom now. It hasn't started yet, but I can't see a list of participants to tell how many others are in the meeting and chat is currently disabled.

Let us know if you get that "tour" you were invited to see!

I already left when the first speaker said "the Bryan and College Park areas" and it became abundantly clear that they aren't here to get anyone's actual opinions or listen to concerns... Also already heard "Um, Nikki... I think you're on mute." So be prepared to hear that a bunch more times. Clown show. All of this could have been covered in a PDF flyer.

You just described 80% of all meetings.

That burn LOL.

Consistency is half the battle; improvement less so.

No wonder we are having trouble getting mail.
