Any thoughts on this school? I guess it is fairly new, so I haven't been able to find much information on it. We were looking to build in Mission Ranch for the amenities, but after seeing the scores and data on River Bend, I'm not so sure.

Can't go wrong with any of the CSISD elementaries, IMO. River Bend is newish, but in talking to parents of students that attend it, they have nothing but positive things to say.

Outstanding school. Great teachers and outstanding leadership from principal. Scores do not always tell the whole story of school. We moved in River bend specifically from a recommendation from a cause hs principal about their leadership and teachers. There is a portion of school that is lower socioeconomic and may be behind from parental support. This was a top 3 elementary from recommendation. PM me for any questions. I grew up in cs and just moved back over last year. Did a lot of research to figure best place to live and have daughter start kindergarten. Have been very pleased with living in this part of town and school. I can also send you my phone number.

All the CSISD schools are gerrymandered to bus in low-income areas. If you're looking to stay with the CSISD I don't think you'll get much better.

I found it helpful to go past the overall test numbers and look at that schools most recent improvement plan on the district's website. It doesn't go in depth but does present more granular info on the test scores issues and that was somewhat eye opening. They are aware they have a sizable number of students having issues. It doesn't go into much depth about what they are going to do to address those issues other than big picture things.

I have no serious complaints , my biggest gripe

The friggin drop off line in the morning. It's a chit show

Have parents that want to stop and open their kids doors and stand there till little Johnny and Susie get to the front door.
You have parents that want to park their car in the lot right next to the drop off line so they can walk their kid the 30 feet to the front door and there is a crosswalk guard that stops the cars every other car to all for parents to walk across and back.. creating a huge backup in the drop off line.
In all honestly the lot next to the drop off lane should be closed from 7:20ish - 7:45 when parent drop off is at its heaviest.
if you want to drop off your kid and walk them to the door fine, you just have to do it before 7:20.
Then you have the parents that cut the line all together to pull up to the front and drop their kids off .. don't get me started on those people

Whole operation is a cluster eff …. But again no serious complaints on the school.
