I remember Studio 2818 but they changed their name and had a big unveiling party the night they announced what it was going to be called. We went that night and I am certain it was something short and sweet like RocZ. Will have to ask some friends if they can remember.

It wasn't ROXZ for sure. Maybe something else. I know it was the edge for a short before that moved to texas Ave. ROXZ was only at the mall and where Harry's was.

The Club at the apartments on 2818 was also called Scandles and another time it was called Dallis.

Dallis?

Was it owned by one of the Dallis brothers?

Dallas Night Club. Bruised myself many times walking up and down the stairs during wet and icy conditions. 4 for 1...3 for 1...2 for 1. Crazy.

It was a fun place to work and we as staff were great friends and not-so-great flings. We'd go to Harry's after closing. It was a Vanderpump Rules in the 90's. always drama.

Yes that's it Dallas Nightclub! It was Gary Seaback because all iterations of clubs in those apartments were him. I believe his father owned the doux chene apartments.

You might want to rethink that abbreviation.

Bombay Bicycle Club was our go-to place for happy hour after work in early 90's.

It was Julie's Place until 1988, then Bombay Bicycle Club until 1995.

For those of us who are old, isn't Hurricane Harry's on the site of the former Sports Club?

Yes. Sports Club, Spectrum, Electric Cowboy, Teazers, ROXZ all before Mercury Bar, The Edge, Baja Yacht Club and Harry's.

Sometimes I think I've lived here a while (more than half my life), then someone reminds me people have been drinking here for 150 years

In the late '70s, there was a club in that vicinity called Black Hat Saloon. Did that later become Julies then Bombay?

In the late 1970s the club at 707 Texas was TJs. It was the favorite place for my now wife and I to go. Sort of a nice place for college kids. Our first date was at the Hall of Fame but our fondest date memories are at TJs.

We still have pictures of us on the dance floor there taken by some friends.

Great memories.

No, that was two blocks down. Julie's Place was built with La Quinta in the late 1970s, the concept switched to Bombay Bicycle Club in the late 1980s, and then it closed in the mid-1990s for Denny's.
