How long do you want to ignore this user?
We have a 20-year-old sofa, large chair, and ottoman that have managed to survive children (now teens) and cats. They are very comfortable, and we are wondering if it would be more cost-effective to have them reupholstered rather than buying something new.

Does anyone have an idea of the cost (I realize it depends somewhat on the fabric - we want something really simple like a microsuede) and someone local who would do a good job?

MANY years ago I had Ambrose re-do a silk sofa that was my grandmother's. It turned out fabulous. The total cost I think was under $1000 - but I can't remember for sure.
