I've been participating for a few weeks with a group called Females in Action - FiA (rhymes with Kia). It's essentially like F3 for women!
We're trying to get the word out about our group - I didn't know about it until my husband had been doing F3 for about 5 months. Since I learned about F3 here on this forum, I thought I would post about FiA!
All workouts are free, peer-led, held outdoors rain or shine (we don't meet if there's lightning or it's SUPER cold, though). Currently, we meet Tues/Thurs at 5:30 a.m. at the basketball court (covered, with lights) next to Pebble Creek Elementary. Sometimes a group gets together on Mon/Wed for a walk/run as well.
We work out for about 45 minutes and then have a brief "share about your day" community chat, but you are welcome to leave when you need to.
Here's the website: https://fiaaggieland.wixsite.com/fiaaggieland (note that it currently doesn't list the correct meeting day/time! Working on getting that changed...I showed up on the wrong day my first time!) The website has a waiver and emergency contact form to fill out.
You can read more about FiA here: https://fianation.com/
Ways to get in contact if you have questions:
- the FiA Aggieland website has a contact form
- email the organizer (it's not me!): fiaaggieland@gmail.com
- DM me here on TA
- leave a reply to this thread
If you're already thinking ahead to the new year and getting more active...why not start now? Come on out - we're friendly, kind of awake at that time of day, and we'll give you a fun FiA name/handle. We are one of only five cities in Texas with an active FiA group - come be a part of a movement with movement!
