A hiss means its close. A snap means you're in contact.

Yes.

I received the minutes from the Brandon Heights HOA meeting and there was a complaint about some kids continuously harassing a neighbor with fireworks through the year ( on Honeysuckle ).

I am assuming that it was fireworks, but it did sound a lot like gunfire, and I know the difference between the two.

Yeah slim chance it was true full auto fire. First, those are few. Second, they are very expensive. Third, the few people who are licensed for full auto weapons and own registered models are unlikely to shoot them in a public place and risk all the felonies, loss of license and confiscation of $20,000 weapons etc.

If it was gunfire and not fireworks, likely a semiauto shot fast or maybe a bump stock.
Trump will fix it.

There is (was?) a private range across Wellborn from HEB, and someone in attendance had a full auto. Don't know if they still shoot there.

I'm not fully familiar with all of the gun laws, but please educate us on how firing a weapon you legally own in a presumably legal place(gun range) can get you fined and the weapon confiscated.

Not sure I follow you. The presumption was someone shooting in a vacant lot or something. The OP said, "the vicinity of Rio Grande and Rock Prairie." OP did not specify a shooting range.

Are you saying that shooting in the city limits in a parking area or vacant lot or someone's front lawn is legal?

There was a previous poster that mentioned a private range and auto weapon.

Not before my post.
