I won't argue that.
My understanding is that:
1, Hill Country Fare is their bargain brand
2. If it is an HEB labeled product, it taste tested equal to or better than the national brand
3. Central Market is their upscale label
2. H-E-B brand is hit or miss. It's just a store brand.
3. Most of the Central Market stuff is original products but some of it isn't very good. Actual Central Market stores are great, the CM brand at H-E-B is probably the worst thing about them.
There's a massive cult following regarding H-E-B that allows people to overlook all their shortcomings and it is annoying, but that's just the way things are. There's some pushback in recent Google reviews but in general, telling people that H-E-B is vastly overrated, and then they react with confusion and disgust, as if you just told them the Holocaust didn't happen.
So if gas went down to 99 cents then they would have to pay you...vmiaptetr said:
I joined their boost program about 2 months ago ($59/year but the had a coupon to make it $39 the first year). Double gas points Monday-Thursday and triple gas points on the weekend. We're getting $1.00 off per gallon every time we go to the pump (once a week). The membership has paid for itself in a short amount of time. Some exclusive coupons have also lowered my weekly grocery bill.
Plus, they now deliver my groceries all the way out to Millican….for free!
in most instances, there is a miniscule difference if any at all in quality between store brands and national brands of a food product. Much of the time is the same producer and the same product and they just label based on the customer's standards.CoachtobeNamed$$$ said:You shut your mouth!PS3D said:1. Economax is the bargain brand.
