Anyone upgraded to 1Gig service and upgraded the router? Trying to self install now and not working.

It's been a few years since I had Optimum, but I remember having to call support to get them to register a new modem/router. They have to unlock, or the neighborhood node won't recognize the device. Self-registering didn't work. YMMV, etc.

Or, the self-registering is a batch job that runs at 3 am. Try again tomorrow, and if that doesn't work, call them. Kermit at QuickTech AV did my first install at my house when we moved here. He was a contractor for them. If you don't have any luck w support, give him a call.
