At least at the one in north Bryan, at Hwy 21 & Texas Ave. $0.20-.30 higher in much of B-CS.

With crude oil in the mid to upper $60/barrel range, wanna bet most of B-CS leads the state, on the price of gas?

$2.40 and lower in several cities...

Yea. Price is no longer a deterrent if someone else is paying for it.

Costco gas tastes the best. Is cheaper too.

HEB is not (always) the cheapest gas in price. It definitely wasn't the case in Austin.

But that requires shopping at Kroger previously.

At $0.08/gallon difference, and a $40 (?) membership...you have to buy 500 gallons, before you're saving $$.
So revel in your "savings", while the other 99% of the population buys elsewhere.

I'll save more at HEB or Costco buying groceries than I will buying gas after shopping at Kroger.

Yep, paying more for the groceries to get the points.

The pumps at Costco don't ask you 5 questions before you can pump a drop and they pump gas twice as fast as HEB

We have a Costco credit card as well. With their rewards, we get a pretty sizable credit in January. Putting household bills and all kinds of stuff on there, we're looking at about a $1000 credit this next year. That's worth my $60.

Same thing with Sam's. Cash back pays for the membership and then some. It's not just the gas, but it sure is nice to get the lowest prices in town as an added bonus.

And if "tier one" is an issue (it hasn't been for all the years we've used Sam's gas), then go to Costco. We'll use it if we're that far south and it's convenient but I don't go out of my way for Costco gas.

@$5/month You can make that up just by buying bottle water, gas and toilet paper at Sams each month. Run the numbers.

The topic was gas prices, and you do realize with one Sam's, and one Costco, both on the SE side of CS, the routine gasoline purchases in Brazos county are not made at either location, by the masses.

We have a Sam's membership, and the Sam's CC, which gets the 5% off fuel purchases, regardless of where purchased. My original post was gas prices at the north Bryan HEB; hardly relates to what Sam's or Costco pricing on gas is, where you DO have to "pay to play".

For the purist...
Sam's is on the east side of CS,...while Costco is on the SE side of CS.

Wanna bet on any given day (and night), HEB sells 10x or more gas, than Sam's and Costco combined?

My grocery bill is consistently higher when I shop at HEB v when I shop at Kroger. Kroger's produce has been better than HEB as of late, and I prefer many of their ice cream flavors over that of HEBs. You have to use the app and take advantage of the digital coupons and sales. Every 2 weeks or so, I get a coupon for a free dozen eggs, $20 off my cart if I spend over $150 (which I do weekly), 99 cent 1lb strawberries, and buy 2 get 3 free on 12 packs of sodas. Most weeks, they also run 2-4 fuel point coupons on weekends (just have to remember to clip them). So my $150 in groceries gets me up to 600 points (60 cents off per gallon) v 150 points (10 cents off per gallon) just for 1 weeks worth of shopping.
