Any truth to the rumor that the Lampo family is opening a new store or deli? Hope so ~

Good luck to them. Zeitman's tried to be a quasi grocery store with all sorts of cool stuff on shelves in addition to the deli items. No longer.

According to signage, they're moving to downtown Navasota.

I saw the sign today, it's at the convenience store at Texas and Woodville.

But I find it a little odd in that they're currently building a grocery and washateria just down the road at the old car lot between the Brickyard Recycling and Woodville now. The building walls and roof structure are up and in place now.

Bold move as there's and HEB and new Pollo Loco or whatever at 21 and Texas, plus Michocana at the same intersection.

Unless there's been some drastic changes, it's a second location.

The Lampos haven't had anything to do with the store at Texas and Woodville in over 20 years. Whoever bought the store from them just kept the name.

Living in Millican, this is excellent news.
