Really cool stuff indeed - like the Feeding and Breeding Experiment Station over by what is now F&B Rd.
Nice map - wish for my eyes it was a little clearer. Does any one know where they had cannon practice back in the day - probably before 1919 since tanks where the new thing after ww1.
I would guess it would be by parsons mounted Calvary is now in the military section (lower right hand corner) but that looks a little too small for cannons.
I like how the train comes off wellbourne and the. Goes right behind sibisa and then a separate line for downtown Bryan.

I collect ticket stubs! looking for a 1944 orange bowl and 1981 independence bowl ticket stub as well as Aggie vs tu stubs - 1926 and below, 1935-1937, 1939-1944, 1946-1948, 1950-1951, 1953, 1956-1957, 1959, 1960, 1963-1966, 1969-1970, 1972-1974, 1980, 1984, 1990, 2004, 2008, 2010
The spur track that you see going by Sbisa was to deliver coal to the central utility plant so they could fuel the boilers and make steam.
I called Cushing and was sent a jpeg that is a little clearer - very fast (same day!) response to my request - which was a non student and non faculty request. Shout out to the Archivist there!!Quote:

The tracks were still visible down the middle of Cavitt Ave. in the early 80's. Also, an A&M professor who was born on campus told me cadets would take the trolley to meet up with their dates in Bryan, and have picnics at a cement pond of some sort which was located behind the old Shipwrecks.
