Has anyone taken a driving test in Brenham since they moved the office into the Blinn Student Center? If so, do they have a parallel parking setup to practice on? Are they using the one at the Fireman's training center for testing? Thanks in advance!

Tester: You fail the test.
DOLA: What happens if I'm too far away.
Tester: You lose two points.
DOLA: I'm good right here.
Tester: You're two feet from the curb.
DOLA: Yep, I'm good losing two points.
She'd practiced a lot and was reasonably good at it but there's no reason to risk failing the test over it. Teach them how to do it then teach them how to pass the test. That's my point.

Taking the test in Bellville was great back in the mid-1980s. I just went at 4:15 PM, and they had already picked up the cones, so I didn't have to parallel park.

Is this the same for BCS testing?
My test in Austin was up against a wall. Big difference in hitting a curb with your parents car and hitting a damn wall. Needless to say, I was a little far from the "curb". Passed though.
Same thing that happened to me! I did not want to risk failing took the points off.
Austin Driving School has their parallel spot permanently set up. It's across the street from Bryan High and it's the same distances as the DPS offices.
