Great to see a Texas born quality convenience store getting traction. I've been jealous for years with the Kwik Trips in Yankee territory and even the QTs in northern Texas.
I couldn't understand why a metro the size of BCS was left with nasty Exxons, Valeros, Shells and the like.
Had a chance to visit the new TXB on WJB the day before it opened and the brass was kind enough to spoil us with some treats. The one on University is nice as well. Seems they really are trying to fill the void of folks who will be loyal to some quality fajita/tacos and soft drinks. Really good if you hit the timing right.
Speaking of which, I signed up for the Chug Club $10/month soda thing and it works out pretty good. It used to be "unlimited" (every hour) until supposedly the hospital crews next door were snatching up several drinks/coffees, etc. each day. Regardless, they sell "any size" fountain drinks including the 44oz for $0.99 which is a nice touch of the days before inflation took over.
Gimmicky sales and coupons have had some pleasant surprises, including points for gas discounts. I'm getting my diesel there and hope it is top tier.
Anywho...despite being outa Austin, glad to see them step up! Supposedly there's a new one coming in at Southern Pointeeeeeee next spring.
