Peters isn't getting voted out and taxes will continue to go up. His cabal is the reason Nettles won the primary so Peters has another rubber stamp. Even after a lot of growth, the County and the Cities are still run by a small group of old timers.tu ag said:

The Blue Hair PAC is firmly in control. The taxes only go up for the whippersnappers (middle aged folks who actually pay taxes)

Anyone who has emailed the commissioners or judge: any responses?
Mine to two pertinent commissioners was brief; "as the county actively promotes growth, for the stated goal of increased revenue, why does the Court then use the increase in growth as a basis for demanding more taxes?".
Not even including the additional tax revenue from increased appraisal values.

If enough people were concerned about the mis-management of the county government and voted, we could have more responsive elective officials. We have people that have a following to a degree that they move from elected city offices to elected county offices so they and their circle can continue to run the county.

I emailed the judge and all of the commissioners when UP was planning to close the Straub and Wade crossings.
Zero response from any of them.

Tax increase approved, to meet the proposed budget....a budget to meet tax revenue without an increase, was never even mentioned.
And Peters said an increase next year is likely.
