I just got our annual service agreement and it's now $385 per year for three visits and the required reporting to Brazos County. Repairs, etc, are extra. This seems high and wonder if this the going rate in the area?

Sounds almost criminal, to me.
Quite the $$ maker.

I took the TOWA class in 2016 so I could inspect my own. Going on 8 years now. Not only have I saved a bunch of money on contracts, but I also know much more about how my system is doing.

If they had offered one in town at the time, I would have taken it instead.

We just renewed ours last month and we paid $305. We use Heath.

No continuing ed for homeowners inspection.

Once a year you submit a "Homeowner Maintenance Agreement" that basically replaces the required "maintenance contract".

You then obviously do three inspections per year, and submit three inspection reports.

Pretty straightforward.

This class's start date has been changed to November 22nd, 2024, and is now an online class. You will need a computer, web camera, and microphone to attend this class . He's great! It's usually his dad or Brother-in-law that come out to us, and they have both been fantastic. We have had our contract with them for a few years now, and the pricing is ALWAYS better than everywhere else. Their pricing on repairs don't seem to be bad either. I think they replaced a sprinkler for $30 at our last inspection.
