There were multiple small grass fires on both sides of 6 SB near SW Parkway resulting in the highway being temporarily shut down this afternoon around 4.
I just happened to be driving by when the fires were just small fluffs of smoke and called them in.
The culprit…..some guy in a HD truck towing a skidsteer. The trailer it was on either lost a tire or something and the dude was dragging the trailer on the shoulder of the road not coming to a stop so he started grass fires spread over about 3/4s of a mile. He was still driving when I went past him around Rock Prairie. No idea where he finally stopped at.
