I will start by admitting my ignorance when it comes to trees, but need help. I have several trees in my yard that have died the last two years and several others that are starting to go. Does anyone have a recommendation for someone that could come look at them and tell me what is happening? Would like to save as many as possible.

Please don't ask me what kind of trees they are, I have already admitted my ignorance. They have small leaves that fan out with serrated edge and come to a point. Maybe an inch and a half in length.

Any recommendation would be appreciated.

You are probably right. I have lost 4 of these trees last year and 4 this year with 2 or 3 others that are starting to look weak.

They say it's from drought last year. I lost several and I see them dying all over.

My Plant People - Jeff is great

Keep all trees watered at least 1 inch of water a week and water deep and out 10 feet from the tree's drip line.

Any pics? Does sound like cedar elm but they are about the toughest trees around.

This. I had his team take down multiple post oaks and haul them off a couple of months ago. Stump grinding, too. I now have two more that have crapped out. I'll be calling him again.

Colby spent an hour or two out an a couple acres of mine last week and brain dumped tons of information. He's the freaking tree whisperer. Best $150 I've spent in a while. Will be using them for service to address some of the issues he found.
